Where Gamma is the better choice
Three situations where we would genuinely point you at them instead.
The deck never leaves the browser
If nobody ever downloads a file, the export question is moot and their web-native format is the better fit.
You want video and live embeds
Video, live embeds and long scrolling pages don't map to slides. We won't pretend they do.
Design range over export fidelity
Their theme library is broader. Ours is deliberately narrow so the export stays predictable.
Moving a deck across

Questions people actually ask
Can I keep using both?
Plenty of teams do. Gamma for the link you send to a wide audience, us for the file that goes to a client or a board. They aren't mutually exclusive and the migration path runs both ways.
Is your export claim testable?
Yes, and please test it. Download the sample .pptx from the product page, open it in PowerPoint and click any headline. If a caret appears, the claim holds. Do the same with any other tool you're evaluating.
Do you have as many themes?
No. We keep the theme set narrow on purpose, because every theme has to survive the round trip into PowerPoint without visual drift. Breadth is the trade we made for predictability.
What about pricing?
Our Free tier includes PDF export with no watermark and one .pptx to verify the claim. Paid tiers start at $15 a month billed annually. Compare the credit allowances rather than the headline price. They differ in what a credit buys.
